The Phillies Bret Huotari was dominant in striking out 11 of 18 batters he faced and left the mound having given up no runs on no hits after 5 innings. First Baseman Tom Donovan went 2-3 with an RBI and a run scored and Right Fielder Jimmy Kuriantnyk drove in 3. Eric Scasny pitched a scoreless 6th. Brett Chidester and Trevor Burg both doubled in runs.
PJ's Tigers: 11 Town & Lake Braves: 5
PJ's Tigers Defeated Town and Lake Realty Braves 11-5. At the plate, the Tigers had many guys step up including; Jason Maaske (2-3,walk, 2 Runs, 1 RBI), Victor Helin (2-3,walk, 1 Run), Steve Rappl (2-3, Walk, 1 Run, 1RBI), and Matt Duranso (2-5, 1 RBI 1 Run). On the mound, Justin Gelhausen pitched a complete game earning his first win of the season.
Bar None Bullfrogs: 8 Brew City Indians: 7
The Bullfrogs were able to jump out to an early lead in the first inning and would not let it go. Their largest lead was at 6-1 when the Indians began to rally. Juan Zaragoza gave up a run in the3rd and in the 5th and, after being pulled in the 6th inning, was on the hook for three more runs. The indians made the score 6-5 going into the bottom of the 6th inning when the Bullfrogs added to their lead by scoring two more runs, making it 8-5. John christopherson was able to hold off the Indians late rally in the top of the 7th to win the game 8-7.

O'Brien's/Milwaukee Harley Davidson: 16 South Shore All-Star's: 10
A wild start to the games as Orioles pitcher Dave Pangallo gave up five runs to the All-Stars in the top of the first inning with 3 walks, two hit batters and only one hit. All-Star\'s pitcher Rich Galewski could not hold the lead as the Oriole\'s answered with 8 in the bottom half with 4 walks, five hits, and a couple defensive miscues by the All-Star defense. Pangallo would settle down and allow only two more runs and three hits before giving way to Bryan MacPherson who gave up three runs in the final two innings. O\'Brien\'s offense was led by Tim Heling (3-4 4RBI 2R 2B SB) and Joe Vilkoski (2-3 3RBI 2R BB HP).
Brown Deer Supreme Builders: 12 St. Francis A's: 3
Builders Brendon Dorn had another solid outing getting a complete game victory. He had no earned runs, 1 walk, and served nine strikeouts. However, Supreme\'s defense struggled as they committed five errors but their lively bats allowed them to cruise to victory. Leading hitters for the Builders were Tommy Rapp (4-5, 3 runs), Chris Moser (3-4, 2B, 2 runs), and Mike Krause (2-3, 2 BB). The St. Francis A\'s offense was led by Matt Cookie Cook, Shawn Kozey, and Jordan Lile as they all had multi hit games.
Johnny V's & Flannery's: 12 The Steakout: 0
Johnny V's/Flannery's beat The Steakout 12-0 in game 1 of a doubleheader. Mike Gramarossa pitched the shutout by allowing only 4 hits. Tony Lubarsky had 3 hits and Lee Klescszynski drove in 4 runs to lead the V\'s/Flannery\'s offense.

The Black Sox woke the bats up to salvage a split against Johnny V’s and earn their first win of the year. The win was a total team effort as every Black Sox batter that stepped to plate recorded at least one hit. The 12 run, 17 hit offensive outburst was more than enough for Josh Weinhandl, who pitched 7 strong innings of emergency relief to earn the win after starter Robert Duffy left in the first due to injury.

Varsity Club Hornets: 18 Southshore Vets: 0
The Varsity Club pitching and hitting picked up where it left off in the opener in an 18-0 victory over the Southshore Vets for its second win. Doug Fremut led the charge pitching a no hit shutout, striking out 7. Doug also reached base all 5 times at the plate with 3 hits and 2 walks. The Varsity Club offense had 18 hits on the day. Mike Beringer, Pete Panagos, Steve Budny, BJ Klement, Justin Fischer, and Doug Fremut all had multiple hit games. BJ Klement drove in 4 runs and Mike Beringer and Steve Budny each drove in 3 runs. Pete Panagos and Mike Beringer each scored 4 times. The Varsity Club would like to send their thoughts and prayers out to Mike Chase of the Southside Vets who took a foul ball to his face during his at bat in the fourth inning.

Travis Rose pitched a sensational shutout ball game, allowing only two hits, walking none and collecting five strikeouts. Mike Grabek led the team with three hits, while former Expos Charles Wood and Brad Krutch had two each themselves.
