Bruce Smeby persevered through mediocre fielding by Leff's to throw 7 quality innings to get the win. Brian Jaeger held off Varsity Club throwing two innings of strong relief for the save. Jeff Sohns led Leff's getting on base five times and scoring five runs. Jaeger also went 3-5, and Scott Baily and Kirk Spano both went 2-4 for Leff's.

In a match up of league contenders, Andy Monigal and Mike Schroeder both threw complete games. PJ's Monigal out-dueled Schroeder in a great pitched game by both past MBL All-Stars.

The Braves came into the game against the Bullfrogs atop the Standings in the American Division and looking to sweep the season series with the Bullfrogs. With George James taking the mound to start a game for the first time this year, he looked to help his team extend their lead in the division. They did just that. James pitched a great game going the distance, allowing only 5 hits, and giving up only 0 runs, while striking out 6 guys. At the plate for the Braves they were lead by Nick Voltner 2-2, R, RBI, AB.
