O'Brien's Orioles 6 All Star Sportswear 5

The Orioles got their second win of the season behind solid pitching by Dan Wilfrath and the continued hot start from Tim Heling. The Orioles jumped out to a 1-0 lead off Helings first inning home run off All-Star starter Brian Curran. They would add two more in the third with Brian MacPherson's clutch two out two run double. Some defensive miscues by the All-stars and key singles from the Orioles led to three more runs in the fourth. Wilfrath pitched six strong innings striking out seven and allowing only one run on four hits. All-Star made it interesting in the bottom of the seventh when Bryan MacPherson entered in relief of Wilfrath. Jason Mikula hit a three run homerun to close the gap to 6-4. After another walk Chris Sanders entered the game for the Orioles and gave up an RBI double before closing the game out giving the Orioles the 6-5 win.

Brown Deer Supreme Builders 11 St. Francis A's 1

Veteran's Division

Leff's Beavers 6 Milwaukee Hornets 1

Leff's got on the board in the first after Anthony Mikkelson hit a one out double and was driven in by a Bruce Smeby (2 for 4 with an RBI) single. The Hornets struck back for one in the bottom of the first when lead off hitter Pete Rechlitz drew the seven pitch walk, advanced on BJ Klement's single and later scored on a fielder's choice. For the next four innings Klement (5 IP, 3 H, 7 K) and Beaver's pitcher Rob Tschimperle would shut down opposing hitters allowing no more runs. In the sixth, the Beaver's Todd Voit (2 for 3 with a run) led off with a single that would ignite a rally against the Hornet bullpen. Brian Jaeger followed Voit with a walk and Scott Baily followed with a hit by pitch to load the bases with no outs. With two outs and the rally nearly dying, Rob Tschimplerle helped his own cause by lining a 2-2 single to right driving in two runs. Andy Bartosh followed with a single and advanced to second on a Jeff Sohns single. The next batter, Kyle Birchbauer walked, and with the throw back to the pitcher getting behind the pitcher, Andy Bartosh made a heads up running play and scored to cap a five run rally. Tschimperle went the distance allowing only two hits and striking out six for his first win of the year.
